From a long walk to the dumpster — to a movement.
The Trash Porters was born from a need founder Chris Boozer spotted while living in a multi-family complex: the long walk to the parking-lot dumpster was a real burden for many residents, especially seniors and people with disabilities. With Delaware lacking valet trash services, Chris set out to fill the gap and build a waste company rooted in accountability and convenience.
The company earned authorization from the Delaware Solid Waste Authority (DSWA) and holds a DNREC permit, establishing it as a trusted provider. In 2023, The Trash Porters won the Emerging Enterprise Center’s “Swim with the Sharks” pitch competition grand prize — and capped 2024 with one of the SBDC of Delaware’s rare EDGE Grants. Today it’s a full-service waste company across residential, commercial, and event collection, still proving that respect starts with trash.
