Founded by Mr. Chris Boozer, The Trash Porters was born out of a need Mr. Boozer identified while living in a multi-family complex. He noticed that the long walk to the parking lot dumpster was inconvenient for many residents, particularly seniors and individuals with disabilities. Realizing that Delaware lacked Valet Trash services, Mr. Boozer took it upon himself to fill this gap and create a waste management company focused on accountability and convenience.

Since its inception, the company has gained the necessary authorization from the Delaware Solid Waste Authority (DSWA) and holds a DNREC permit, establishing itself as a trusted provider in the waste management industry. In 2023, The Trash Porters earned statewide recognition by winning the Emerging Enterprise Center’s “Swim with the Sharks Pitch Competition” grand prize. 2024 ended with a bang as The Trash Porters was awarded one of the few EDGE Grants the SBDC of Delaware provides per round!
